What to Bring in Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit - My Top 5
The internet abounds with lengthy articles detailing every possible item you could bring in a wedding day emergency kit, and while my kit has all of those items and more, you can most likely keep things simple. I am all about keeping wedding planning straightforward, so here are the top 5 items that are most used in my emergency kit.
Band-Aids: For when those pretty new shoes rub you the wrong way, or when someone in the bridal party takes a tumble during a second line.
Medications: My big 4 are Ibuprofen, Benadryl, Aspirin, and Pepto. Having a few packets of Emergen-C available can also be helpful if anyone enjoyed your rehearsal dinner a little too much.
Scissors: You know those hanger straps on dresses that like to creep their way out? They are even sometimes visible through the wedding dress if it’s sheer. Be prepared to clip them right off!
Safety pins: Most frequently used when the bustle breaks on your wedding dress, these get you back on the dance floor in no time, but they’re also helpful for other wardrobe malfunctions. Get them in black and white and you’ll really be a pro.
Things that keep you smelling good: deodorant and mints or gum (just make sure you’re not still chomping on it come wedding ceremony-time).
